This book seems like a good Kindle item for Father's day and beyond. It works in the spehere of interpersonal relationships, teaching work ethic and a variety of parenting ethos in addition to simply "coaching." Sports are simply a medium for a broader sense of life, as much about developing person's of character as it is about tips and schemes on the court/field/pitch. The author seems to enjoy the sense of space and time he has held and the transition from active athelete to active parent/coach. As a father with children, looking to relate through athletics, I would buy this book and utilize it as a tool. There are lessons and character developing moments here that go well beyond the games. A good read for dad's with young kids. In the end the mentoring in this book is about the coach and not the kids.
